Dear friends,
Salt Institute has finally put together an online archive. Super cool!!! Maine’s history, for all to explore, starting back in the 1970’s.
Here is the story I created back in 2008 (I have thousands more photos that I wasn’t able to fit in my final array for Salt). Joe has now legally changed his name to Mysterious and goes by female pronouns. I still check in with her every few months.
My time at Salt was an incredible experience and I still use the skills I learned there in my work today. It is my life’s passion to articulate, bear witness and provide support, when possible, to individuals experiencing homelessness and mental illness.
